This software has been developed over ten years in
consultation with motor traders and our computer
consultants and the result is a bookkeeping program that
is tailored especially for the motor trade. It's

No set-up procedure.
 Unlike most other bookkeeping programs, there
are no
complicated set-up procedure with numbered nominal
accounts, year-end or month end procedures. Start off by just entering your
vehicle stock details following the
simple directions on the screen. Our product is
ideal for start-up motor traders and those dealers
wanting to move from their current system of
bookkeeping. Entering your stock details is accomplished very quickly with
the aid of our vehicle registration look-up system.
All the data that you enter into Motor Traders Assistant is available to you ALL
the time because it is stored in a continuous stream of information. No
year-end procedures or archiving, you just enter the start and end dates of the
period that you want a report on and it is done almost instantly. Busy
users with ten years worth of data still get their accounting reports in the
blink of an eye and our Cash Book Control Panel is infinitely configurable to
return whatever you want or need to know about your data.
Print VAT Returns instantly.
VAT returns can be produced at any time with the click of
a mouse, all you need to do is specify the period
for which you want the VAT report. It couldn't be

Bank reconciliations.
Keeps track of your cheque book transactions, direct debits/standing orders and also
your debit and credit cards, making the reconciliation of your account records with
your bank statement a breeze.
Comprehensive Reporting.
You can also view and print out reports at any time showing your profit and
loss, stock book, cash book, sales analysis on individual vehicle sales,
debtors, creditors and more! It's never been so easy to keep tabs on the
state of your business. You can see right away through sales analysis, for
example, exactly what your costs were on a particular vehicle and exactly how
much profit was made on the sale. Create purchase and sales invoices, with
an option to use your own letter-heads if you want to.
Search facilities.
Anything can be searched for with ease. For example, given
a vehicle's registration number you will be able to
instantly check if you had it in stock and if you
have sold it, together with full invoice details for
each transaction.
Rest assured that your data is secure.
We appreciate that your data is your crucial to your
business. Our software will remind you to backup
your data every day and backups only take seconds.
You can also save your data online to our server with
either on click of the mouse or automatically, every
time you close the program! Should your premises
get burgled or something happen to your computers, e.g.,
a fire on your premises, you will know that your data is

can keep track of which of your vehicles have been
submitted to the Motor Insures' Database and even submit

We can even (with your permission and cooperation only),
take over the operation of your computer remotely so as
to remedy any problems you may be experiencing. It
could be something unrelated to our product but
necessary for our product to work, e.g., Internet, email
issues. We help to keep your business running
efficiently.

We also offer regular upgrades and updates, as
part of our service. (For example, vehicle tax
rate changes in a budget will be updated in our drop
down lists, make, model and description data will be
regularly updated to reflect the latest models on the
market.)

You can pay annually or monthly for the software and
support package. The package includes use of the
software with full technical and accounting support plus
regular upgrades, vehicle registration lookups and
updates.
The annual charge is £599 plus VAT per year or £65 per
month (Including VAT). There are
no hidden extra costs.

There is no minimum term
contract and you can stop paying for and using the software
at any time plus you don't start to pay anything until you have

‘Look ups’ are performed after the vehicle registration number is entered into the program.
Lookups retrieve a mass of information from a number of
different data
bases concerning the vehicle. Where available, the following details of
the vehicle are supplied:-
- Make
- Model
- Engine Size
- VIN Number
- Plate
- Colour
- Date of First UK Registration
- Type of Fuel (e.g., Petrol, Diesel, etc.)
- Fuel Delivery Method (e.g., Fuel Injection, Turbo, etc.)
- Type of Gearbox (e.g., Manual, Tiptronic, etc.)
- Number of Forward Gears
- Number of Doors
- Seating Capacity
All the above details are immediately and automatically be entered into
the relevant boxes to save you time and effort
and improves the accuracy of
your data.
In addition to this information being entered for you, the look up also
supplies the user with further details concerning the following:-
- The vehicle body description (e.g., 'car derived van').
- The number of additional previous keepers.
- The previous keeper's acquired date.
- The previous keeper's disposal date.
- The date of issue of the new vehicle registration certificate (V5C).
- Whether the vehicle is currently shown as scrapped.
- The current scrap date when shown as scrapped.
- The date of any certificate of destruction when scrapped.
- Whether the vehicle is currently shown as un-scrapped
- If the vehicle has been scrapped, the date shown on the certificate of
destruction.
- Whether the vehicle is shown as imported.
- The import date if shown as imported.
- Whether the vehicle is shown as imported from Northern Ireland.
- The import date from Northern Ireland if applicable.
- Whether the vehicle is shown as exported.
- The export date if the vehicle has been exported.
- Whether or not the vehicle has had its colour changed.
- The date of the last colour change if applicable.
- If the vehicle is left hand drive.
- Whether the vehicle has been used prior to UK registration.
- The vehicle's CO2 rating (relevant for vehicle road tax purposes).
Although the information we supply does not include whether or not a vehicle is
currently on finance, it is always open to a dealer to simply ask a prospective
seller of a vehicle if the vehicle is on finance or not. If the answer is
yes and details are supplied and confirmed, then a more costly search on the
vehicle would be unnecessary. Adopting this strategy could significantly
reduce your overheads.
