MTA Software Solutions
All these screenshots were taken from a system using Windows Vista; the images would
look slightly different on other operating systems, e.g., Windows XP.
The opening screen lists all the current vehicles in stock and provides information
on how many and their current SIV (Stand In
Value, the trade market value). When each vehicle's details were
submitted to the MID (Motor Insurers Database) can also be seen at a glance:-
Double clicking on any row brings up details of a particular vehicle record:-
The software is designed so that typing at the keyboard is kept to a minimum; this
helps to ensure accurate and consistant record keeping. The boxes that are
in yellow are completed automatically for you, if you edit the looked up
details, they turn back to a white background so that you will always know which
is the data that your entered yourself. This may be necessary for example,
if the colour of the vehicle is not recorded by the DVLA. Details of the
supplier need not contain all details, a name will suffice if that is your
preference. Similarly, the purchaser reference (Buyer) is optional.
A vehicles purchase record can be entered very quickly and very accurately with
an absolute minimum of typing. A click on the button <Raise Sales Invoice>
brings up another window which is equallly quick and easy to complete when the
vehicle is sold.
Likewise options for stock vehicles do not need to be typed in. Instead, they
can be selected from a provided list of options (which the user may edit or add
to) :-
Invoices are automatically generated and there is an option to leave the header
blank for those users who prefer to use letter-headed stationery, otherwise full
dealer contact details will be printed at the top of the page:-
Legal small print at the foot of the invoice can be selected or not on an options
window. There are numerous other screen shots and reports but the above will
hopefully give the viewer a flavour of the ease of use and power of this software.
There are reports for the cash book, stock book, debtors, creditors, profit and
loss, sales analysis, etc., and of course, the mandatory VAT report which MTA users
regularly compliment us about; the figures required to return a VAT100 form are
duplicated on the report so that the user only has to transcribe them (this is only
an extract from the full VAT report):-
The data used to produce the VAT report is then stored safely in case of any future
VAT inspection. MTA software has always passed VAT inspections with flying
colours and this despite many of our users having very little about bookkeeping
or accounts and without any external help to produce their VAT returns.
