- Terms and Conditions for MTA Software Solutions Ltd

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the accounting software provided by MTA Software Solutions Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales.
By signing up for an account via our website, and by using MTA, a Windows desktop application service provided by MTA Software Solutions Ltd, you (“the Client”, “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use.
If you do not agree to the Terms & Conditions you will not be entitled to use the service and the application. MTA will close.
- 2. Free Trial & Subscriptions
- Free Trial: New users are entitled to a one-month free trial. No payment is taken during this period.
- Subscription Options: Following the trial, you may choose:
- Annual Subscription: Paid in full upfront at a discounted rate.
- Monthly Subscription: Paid via Direct Debit.
- No Minimum Term: We do not believe in locking you in. There is no minimum contract length beyond the period you have already paid for.
- 3. Cancellations & Notice Period
- Notice: You may cancel your subscription at any time by providing one month’s written notice via email or through your account dashboard.
- Final Payment: Any payments due within the notice period will be processed as usual.
- 4. Services Provided
The standard subscription includes:
- Access to day-to-day bookkeeping and VAT return submission tools (MTD compliant).
- Support: Telephone and email support during standard UK business hours.
- Data Backup: Regular, automated backups of your data on our secure UK-based servers.
- 5. Fair Usage Policy (Lookups)
- Included Extras: Postcode and vehicle registration lookups are included in your subscription.
- Limits: These are subject to a Fair Usage Policy. If your usage significantly exceeds the average for a small business of your size, we reserve the right to apply additional charges. We will always notify you before these charges are incurred.
- 6. Post-Cancellation Data Access
If you choose to cancel your subscription:
- Your data will remain available on a read-only basis for a minimum of one year from the date of cancellation.
- During this time, you can view and export records for compliance purposes, but you cannot add new entries or submit returns.
- 7. Data Protection & Privacy
- GDPR: We are fully compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Confidentiality: Your data is yours. We will never share or sell your data to third parties.

- 8. Limitation of Liability
- While our software is designed to assist with HMRC compliance, the ultimate responsibility for the accuracy of tax returns and financial records rests with the Client.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
